Join Dia Lawless on Thursday, September 26th from 5:30 PM - 8:00 PM for a Beaded Pumpkin Workshop at Arts on Main!
Are you ready for fall? Make the first fall decoration of the season for your home! You will learn how to use metal, beads, wire, and ribbon to create a unique beaded pumpkin. This lovely beaded pumpkin is fun, festive, and easy to make! Leave with something you are proud to display and tell people you made. Come enjoy an evening that will bring in the season!
All supplies will be provided by the instructor. Bring a friend, a family member, or a date and come have fun!
This class is open to ALL ages! Children ages 12 and under must be accompanied by a parent.
ABOUT YOUR INSTRUCTOR
Dia Lawless, originally from Williamsburg, has lived on the Middle Peninsula for more than 30 years. She was raised in an extremely artistic family who encouraged her to be creative in life. In 2021, Dia was working at a performing arts center and began to make jewelry from guitar strings, primarily g strings, and so evolved a bracelet she calls G Strings, Gems, and Leather. Not long after, Dia realized she had a passion for weaving beads and began designing and weaving beautiful one-of-a-kind pieces. She uses natural materials to design culturally inspired pieces that exhibit elements of ancient Egyptian, African, and Native American jewelry.
