During this course, students complete STEAM-based art lessons (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) that address current Standards of Learning (SOL) objectives. Our goals are to provide hands-on experiential learning through art making and to increase student understanding of math and science concepts. Students will learn about two-dimensional shapes, explore color schemes, and create masterpieces using a variety of mediums and the process of art technique.
All supplies will be provided by the instructor. For children ages 7-9.
At the end of the course, one art piece from each student will be displayed and featured in a reception at Arts on Main on Thursday, February 27th from 5:30pm - 6:30pm. One piece will be awarded best in show! We hope to see each student and their families!
Cost is $5/per student for the entire course.
This course is limited to 10 students. Get your spot ASAP!
Due to high demand, please let Arts on Main know if you need to relinquish your student’s seat so that we can contact others from the waitlist. Thank you!
