Join Diana Cordero on Saturday, July 12th from 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM for a Pencil & Ink Workshop at Arts on Main!
If you experience anxiety whenever you look at a blank piece of paper, this workshop is for you. We'll focus on techniques that will help you overcome anxiety and get past that scary blank page. I will teach you the drawing exercises I use in my own art practice and that help me get creative in moments of self-doubt. This is a great workshop for artists of any level; you don't need any experience to participate. We'll be using the most universal art materials: pencils, pens, and paper. I will cover a lot of tools that apply to every medium, so the skills you learn with me can be applied to any type of art you want to create. We'll explore sketching and drawing with confidence, by practicing skills in line value, weight, texture, and cross-hatching. My goal is to empower you to feel confident in your own innate creative abilities.
All supplies will be provided by the instructor.

ABOUT YOUR INSTRUCTOR
Hello, I am Diana, the creative mind behind Artie Lamb Designs, LLC. I am a self-taught illustrator and artist. I'm originally from Arizona, but have proudly called Virginia my home since 2016. I have a strong passion for the visual arts. My mission as an artist is to create whimsical artwork for people with a quirky sense of humor and a positive outlook on life. I am looking forward to sharing my knowledge with my students and to helping them discover their own talent.
