“You’re a Gem” Sweetheart Bracelet

Join Dia Lawless at Arts on Main on Saturday, February 3rd from 10:00 AM - 12:30 PM for a bead weaving class.
Love is in the air! There is no better way to say to your sweet Valentine that they’re the one than a uniquely designed and handcrafted gift from you! This class is easy and fun and the end result is a gift that says “I love you” like no other. In this bracelet, I’ve used red jade and glass pearls but you can use your sweetheart’s birthstone or other significant stones to design your one of a kind piece. Time permitting we will also design and craft a beautiful custom box for your gift.
For ages 12 and up, all levels are welcome!
All materials will be provided by the instructor.
ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
Dia Lawless, originally from Williamsburg, has lived on the Middle Peninsula for more than 30 years. She was raised in an extremely artistic family who encouraged her to be creative in life. In 2021, Dia was working at a performing arts center and began to make jewelry from guitar strings, primarily g strings, and so evolved a bracelet she calls G Strings, Gems, and Leather. Not long after, Dia realized she had a passion for weaving beads and began designing and weaving beautiful one-of-a-kind pieces. She uses natural materials to design culturally inspired pieces that exhibit elements of ancient Egyptian, African, and Native American jewelry.
